Rough edges are expected, and what you run into is genuinely useful to me. Two things to know before you set off:

• Older Android phone? If the game won't register a place you're standing right next to, that's your phone's GPS, not you. Tap 📏 I'm close on the Nav screen to widen the distance it accepts.

• On an iPhone? The game is largely untested there. If something looks broken, it probably is — please tell me what you saw rather than assuming you did it wrong.

1. Walk to a red place with GPS on — that's the only way to collect it. Watch your surroundings — heads up, phone down.

2. On arrival you'll hear a sound and see the facts + Dr. Jamieson's writing for your level, then Collect it (it turns green and joins your Notes).

3. If you do use 📏 I'm close, the place still counts — it just gets an ∗ beside it and a small score trim, both of which go away if you tighten back up.

4. Complete Sets, and collect people by scanning or pasting their codes.

5. Save your code often (it downloads to your phone) — it's the only way to resume and to submit to the leaderboard.
